In line with the educational and Jesuit mission of John Carroll University, the Fraternity and Sorority Life community is committed to life-long learning. One of the strengths of fraternities and sororities is the additional educational opportunities provided to our members. Our educational priorities include the following:

  • Academic Success
  • Leadership
  • Career and Personal Development
  • Health and Wellness
  • Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
  • Alcohol and Drugs
  • Hazing
  • Sexual Assault and Interpersonal Violence

These topics are covered through workshops, trainings, retreats, professional speakers and presentations. Educational programming is facilitated by a number of individuals and organizations such as: JCU faculty and staff; fraternity and sorority advisors, employees and volunteers; JCU student leaders. All of our FSL organizations must complete a variety of these educational priorities in order to maintain the health of their chapter and their good standing status with their inter/national organizations. The learning that occurs as a part of their fraternity membership truly complements and supplements their education in the traditional classroom.
