Academic, Alumni, Regional, and Special Interest Scholarship Opportunities
Admitted students will receive an email containing information about scholarship opportunities at JCU. To be considered for these awards, students must fill out the JCU Class of 2026 Scholarship Application, so please be sure to check your email. The deadline to submit the scholarship application is January 15, 2022. We also encourage students to submit the Free Application For Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by December 1, 2021 to determine if they might be eligible for additional financial support.

The scholarships outlined below have varying criteria and require a separate application, in addition to the JCU Class of 2026 Scholarship Application.
The Allen Endowment
The Allen Endowment is pleased to announce the Florence Allen Scholarship Program for the 2022-2023 academic year. Ohio women (high school seniors and older) who are in need of financial aid to pursue an undergraduate degree or technical certificate are invited to apply. 2022-2023 scholarships will range from $500 to $1,000 and may only be used for that academic year at an accredited degree or certificate granting institution recognized by a state Board of Regents.
Scholarship applications will be available from March 1 to April 30, 2022. APPLICATION
A.M.D.G. Scholarship
$10,000
The A.M.D.G. $10,000 annual scholarship is awarded to up to five students from the New York City area. An application is required. The deadline to apply for this scholarship is January 15, 2022.
Andrew "Dewey" McCarthy Scholarship
$4,300
The Andrew "Dewey" McCarthy Scholarship $4,300 award recognizes an incoming first-year student who has a demonstrated record of leadership, citizenship, and academic ability and who hails from the New England area. The Andrew McCarthy Memorial Scholarship Fund was established by Dewey’s family, friends, teammates, classmates, and co-workers. Since 1983, money has been raised in support of the scholarship, and today the fund is fully endowed. The scholarship has been awarded annually since 1988. STEM Major: Choose Ohio First Scholarship

This scholarship is designed to strengthen Ohio’s competitiveness within Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, and Medicine (STEMM). Students must be Ohio residents intending to major in a STEMM discipline (Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Data Science, Exercise Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Neuroscience) at JCU. Recipients are required to maintain a 3.0 overall GPA and a 3.0 STEMM GPA each year to renew this award. An application is required. The priority deadline to apply is January 15, 2022.
Ignatian Heritage Scholarship
Up to full tuition
First-year students applying for admission for fall 2022 from Catholic, Jesuit, and/or Cristo Rey High Schools are eligible to apply for our new Ignatian Heritage Scholarship Competition.* The first-place winner will receive a full-tuition scholarship. The second-place winner will receive free room & board. The third-place winner will receive a $3,000 Mathews Scholarship. To be considered for this scholarship, students must submit a completed application for admission to JCU by December 1 and submit the Ignatian Heritage Scholarship application by January 10, 2022.
*Catholic, Jesuit, and Cristo Rey high schools need to be affiliated with their local Archdiocese, Jesuit Province, or be a recognized school in the Cristo Rey Network.
Loyola Academy Scholarship
$30,000
The Loyola Academy Scholarship was created to recognize the academic excellence of a Loyola Academy student who represents the characteristics of Ignatian heritage and is committed to Jesuit education. The $30,000 annual scholarship is awarded to a student with an ACT score of at least 27, combined with a 90 or higher on the Loyola Academy unweighted 100 point-scale and evidence of leadership and service. Say Yes Scholarship
Up to full tuition
JCU is pleased to provide 5 scholarship opportunities each year to students attending Say Yes eligible schools in Cleveland, OH. As part of this program, students can receive up to 8 semesters of financial support to meet the full cost of tuition and mandatory fees at JCU. Thomas M. Tully Family Scholarship
$25,000
The Thomas M. Tully Family Scholarship is awarded to an incoming first-year student from St. Ignatius College Prep in Chicago, IL. The scholarship is $25,000 per year for 4 years. A GPA of 2.75 is required for renewal. An application is required. For more information, please contact your enrollment manager. The deadline to apply for this scholarship is by January 6, 2021.
