The Department of Recreation hosted a grand opening event for a new fitness studio on Friday afternoon. The studio, which replaced two racquetball courts in the D.J. Lombardo Student Center, opens officially on Monday, September 23.

"We're thrilled to welcome our community into our newest fitness space," said Matt Clark, director of recreation. "This studio is just the first of many projects which will enhance the student experience and promote the health and wellness of our entire community. We're looking forward to all of the opportunities it will provide for our students, faculty, and staff."

The studio will host a variety of group fitness classes, as well as open workout times. It is open to all recreation members; users are required to swipe their Carroll Card or membership card at the recreation desk.
