The Program

The University of Hull was founded in 1927 in Kingston upon Hull with 39 students and today boasts a vibrant student population of around 18,000. Academically the University of Hull has more than 50 academic departments spread over the arts and humanities, business, education, the sciences, and the social sciences. In addition to the wide range of classes, the University of Hull is a regional and national leader of research.

Financial Aid

John Carroll Students are eligible to apply all scholarships, federal, and state financial aid toward costs at the University of Hull. Please see the Office of Financial Aid to discuss all financial aid options for the University of Hull.

  • Tuition: JCU Tuition including Federal, State, and JCU aid
  • Administrative Fee: $1,000

Estimated Expenses (not billed by JCU)

  • Books and Supplies: $450
  • Room: $4,500-$7,000
  • Personal Expenses: $6,000
  • Transportation: $1,700
  • Board: $2,500
  • Insurance: $250

*Students are responsible for board costs at the University of Hull.

The British Universities Transatlantic Exchange Association (BUTEX) offers a limited number of scholarships to attend their member institutions. You should also explore other scholarship opportunities.

The deadline for applications to study abroad for Fall Semester is March 1, and for Spring Semester is October 1.
