Clinical Mental Health Counseling (CMHC) is a 60-semester hour program. When attending full-time and in the summer it takes a minimum of seven semesters, just over two years. School Counseling (SC) is a 60-semester hour program. When attending full-time and in the summer it takes just over two years to complete the program.
You can start summer or fall semester. Spring applications will be considered if space is available.

Yes, many students attend part-time, enrolling in one or two courses each semester.
During fall and spring semester, each course meets one day a week on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, or Thursdays. Most courses meet from in the evening with start times such as 5:00-7:40 p.m., 6:00-8:40 p.m., or 6:30-9:15 p.m. Some courses meet in the afternoon such as 3:20-5:55 p.m.

Yes, there are graduate assistantships. The deadline for applying for assistantships is February 15. Applicants, who are also applying to the Department of Counseling graduate programs, should submit all admissions materials in time to attend the February Group Interview.
