The Writing Center extends its boundaries and consultants to two unique satellite locations across campus, to provide additional meeting options and welcome many writers.
First, the Writing Center holds evening hours as part of JCU’s Learning Commons, over in Grasselli Library. We have two experienced consultants available on Wednesday and Sunday evenings from 7:00-9:00 p.m. in Seminar A. These hours work on a first-come, first-served basis–we do not take appointments.
Our second satellite location is reserved for students registered with the Services for Students with Disabilities Office. Leah Tremaglio, a professional tutor, dedicates 10 hours per week to students who request additional assistance with writing assignments and may need some accommodations. Each consultation lasts between 45-60 minutes, and includes time for discussion and practical application. Leah is a 2013 graduate of John Carroll University, and received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Adolescent/Young Adult Education and English. As a consultant in the Writing Center during her undergraduate years, Leah brings experience working with and teaching students with. Her hours for Spring Semester 2016 are as follows:
Mondays and Thursdays 11:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.
All consultations will take place in Seminar A in Grasselli Library.
To schedule an appointment with Leah, please contact her directly at firstname.lastname@example.org or schedule through the SSD office. Appointments may only be scheduled up to one full week in advance.
