The Women’s and Gender Studies Program hosted a Musical High Tea for the JCU community on Friday, April 26, at 3:30 p.m. in OC 112.

Violinist Lavinia Pavlish and piano accompanist Hyun-Soo Kim performed a specially commissioned piece by Japanese woman composer, Sayo Kosugi.

Ms. Pavlish recently completed her Master’s Degree at The Juilliard School with Naoko Tanaka. Hyun-Soo Kim is currently pursuing his Artist Diploma with Anita Pontremoli at the Cleveland Institute of Music.  Ms. Kosugi is currently pursuing a Master of Music degree in composition at The Juilliard School under the guidance of Robert Beaser.

Guests enjoyed a selection of teas and pastries while celebrating this new major/minor.
