Self-care is a powerful choice that survivors can engage in to gain and/or maintain wellness in the physical, psychological, emotional, social, and spiritual aspects of their lives.

Healing from trauma takes many forms, here are some opportunities to consider:

  • Meditation/Deep Breathing
  • Be sure to get enough sleep
  • Exercise
  • Journal – To manage feelings
  • Be sure to maintain a healthy diet
  • Be patient with yourself, healing takes time
  • Remember, all your feelings are natural
