A Nutrition program is offered with Karin Palmer, Registered Dietitian and Nutritionist. Karin comes to the Student Health Center to see students with eating and nutritional concerns. Students can make an appointment by calling the Student Health Center at (216) 397-4349. There is no fee for this service.
Chair massages are available to all students, free of charge, every Tuesday afternoon, 3-5 pm, in the Learning Commons, 1st floor Grasselli Library, near the Den. Finding healthy snacks for that evening craving can be a challenge. The “right” chips and dips can be a nutritious treat. Join Karin Palmer, our nutritionist in the atrium on Wednesday night, 11/20, where you can watch demonstrations on how to make easy healthy dips in your dorm room. Join us from 8-10 PM to sample these dips along with a healthier chip. Also, you’re invited to come with any questions you may have for the JCU nutritionist.
A GYN Clinic is offered once a month, from 10:30am-1:30pm. Latina Brooks, CNP, PhD, Board Certified in Family Practice with specialization in Gynecology, examines students with gynecological concerns, performs breast exams, routine PAP testing, and all STI testing. An appointment can be made by calling the Student Health Center at (216) 397-4349. There is a fee to see Dr. Brooks and for any lab testing done.
