Internships
As a sports studies major, you’ll be required to complete an internship—an opportunity that can be a springboard to your career. JCU’s reputation and strong alumni network help many of our students secure competitive internships.
Three major professional sports teams call Cleveland home. The region also offers scores of other sports-related internship possibilities at minor league teams as well as education, healthcare, media, nonprofit, and recreation organizations.
As previously mentioned, through JCU’s strong relationship with Mike Cleary and his successful career with the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA), we can assist in connecting our students to respected leaders in intercollegiate athletics, whether it be through internship or mentoring opportunities.
