As a sociology and criminology major, you can tailor your studies to prepare for a variety of career paths as well as graduate and professional school.

Major Requirements

  • Required courses: Foundations of Sociology, Sociological Theory, Research Methods I and II.
  • Eight other sociology courses (a minimum of four of these must be taken at the 300 or 400 level).
    Students may take these eight courses in our department’s three specialized tracks or select from a variety of courses.
