Tobacco-Free Campus

Tobacco- and Smoke-Free JCU

We are proud to announce our commitment to a tobacco- and smoke-free John Carroll campus. Effective August 1, 2018, smoking, the use of any tobacco product, vaping, and the use of electronic cigarettes are prohibited throughout the campus, including on any University-owned or leased properties and in any University-owned vehicles.

The Tobacco-Free Campus policy is about making our University more healthy and accessible for all students, faculty, staff, and visitors. The air will be healthier for everybody who comes to campus to live, learn, visit, or work.

A no-smoking rule is not a “no-smoker rule.” We are not judging or excluding people who choose to smoke; we’re just asking them not to smoke on the campus where it can impact others.

No smoking, no chewing tobacco, no vaping, no e-cigarettes
