Make a Difference Day, an annual national day of service, is held the fourth Saturday in October. It is described as a “celebration of neighbors helping neighbors.” The John Carroll community joins millions of others across the country in service to local neighborhoods, organizations, and residents.
The JCU Make a Difference Day project involves a neighborhood collection of donated food in support of the Fatima Food Drive. Volunteers assist with bag distribution throughout University Heights and on-campus solicitations, collecting donations, sorting and repacking food, and delivering donations to Fatima. In combination with other efforts, participants are able to collect enough food to provide 100 families with a complete Thanksgiving meal.
