  Drugs Are Bad
By Jonathan Rand
Directed by Rachel Halle

Brad comes home from school one day to find his parents waiting for him, deeply concerned. They have found a secret that Brad stashed away in his underwear drawer: an algebra book. Brad has been studying behind their backs, instead of following his parents’ strict insistence on sex, drugs, and rock & roll. What unfolds is a parody of all those insufferable after school specials that made us who we are today.
Cast requirements: 2 males, 1 female

The Worker
By Walter Wykes
Directed by Santino Montanez

This dark comedy requires one male, one female, and a messenger who could be either sex. This play focuses heavily on gender roles in relationships. This witty comedy promises to be a lot of fun to put together, and includes some rather macabre twists.
Cast Requirements: 3 characters- male or female

Settling Accounts
By Neil Simon
Directed by Brendan Hancock

A hotel suite in London is occupied by an inebriated Welsh writer who is holding a long time business manager, caught absconding with the writer’s money at gunpoint. The villain concocts increasingly farfetched explanations of what he was doing at the airport with the cash.
Cast Requirements: 2 characters- male or female

Main Stage Play
Play runs April 5, 6, 12 and 13 at 7:30PM and April 7 and 14 at 2PM

Blink!
By Dr. Mary Weems
Directed by Karen Gygli

Blink! is an original play by Dr. Mary Weems, JCU professor in the Department of Education and Allied Sciences. The script is made up of monologues by students, staff and faculty who are of many religions, races, ethnicities, socio-economic classes, and sexual and gender identifications. We need a diverse group of actors to create an ensemble cast. All students, staff and faculty are welcome to audition! Post-show talk-backs will be part of every performance. This show may also tour around the Northeast Ohio area. This play is co-sponsored by the Tim Russert Department of Communication and Theatre Arts and the Center for Student Diversity and Inclusion and Counseling Division of the Department of Education and Allied Studies.
Cast Requirements: About 3 or 4 characters

Scripts are available from the Dept. Secretary at O’Malley center #45 – between 10am and 5pm!  Questions? Call Keith Nagy at   216-397-4308
