Personal Items:
Toiletries (soap, shampoo, toothbrush, etc.)
Shower caddy, shoes or sandals, bath towels
First Aid kit, medications (Tylenol, Advil, etc.)
Social Security Card & Copy of Birth Certificate (if you plan to work on campus)

For Your Room:
Fans
Desk lamp
Surge protectors (Due to fire code, no extension cords are allowed in the residence halls)
Alarm clock
Plastic garbage bags
Hooks/mounting tabs that will not damage walls
Laundry basket and detergent
Computer, printer, and paper
Bulletin board and thumbtacks

Chargers
Personal items and pictures to decorate room
Cleaning supplies
Carpet or area rug
Tool Kit
HDMI Cord (For hooking your computer to your TV to stream Blue Streak Cinema, a Netflix like service available to students)
Fully-integrated HDTV model (QAM) tuner TV with cable cord and other entertainment items (including headphones)

*If you are living with other people, discuss with them who will bring the larger items.

For Bedding:
Extra-long sheets, mattress pad, comforter, blanket and pillows

Kitchen Items:
Refrigerator (4.6 cubic feet or smaller)
Microwaves (1 cubic foot and 700-900 watts)
Coffeemakers
Plates, bowls, and eating utensils
Snacks
Soda, juice, and bottled water.

What Not to Bring to College

Candles, incense, fireworks
Kegs, beer boxes, empty or full
Weapons
Toaster, toaster oven
Waterbeds
Nails, thumbtacks, duct tape/packaging tape, or any hanging device that will damage the wall and/or wall surface
Amplified musical instruments or drums
Pets other than fish (tank may not exceed 20 gallons)
Live Christmas trees
Hot pots
Electric skillets and woks
Grills (including George Foreman grill)
Oil popcorn poppers
Sun lamps
Space heaters
Percolators
Air conditioners (unless medically approved)
