Students who live on campus acquire new life skills, tend to engage in more campus life activities, perform better in the classroom, and are more satisfied with their college experience. We hope your time living on campus will connect you to the John Carroll community, challenge you to learn about yourself and others, and create memories that will last a lifetime.

John Carroll University has a 2-year residency requirement. The residency requirement states that all entering students of traditional age not commuting from home are required to live on campus during their first two years. Commuting is defined as living exclusively in the permanent and primary residence of a parent or legal guardian, within 35 miles of John Carroll’s campus.
