Through the course of a year, prospective students will show their interest in John Carroll in any number of significant ways. Students may visit campus, send us their SAT scores, complete a form on our website requesting more information, or apply for admission. We know because of their action, that they have great interest in John Carroll.
A message from you thanking the prospective student for their interest, a short testimonial of the quality of a John Carroll education, or congratulations on behalf of the local alumni group delivered in a phone call, letter, or email are effective ways to recruit prospective students.
Volunteers may request contact lists based on any number of criteria such as hometown, high school, academic major, extracurricular activity or sport, legacy connection, etc. A short script or talking points will be provided along with the contact list.
Contact assignments will be tracked for reporting purposes and for follow-up through the recruitment process. For the students they contact, volunteers will receive enrollment status information at appropriate times in the recruitment cycle.
