JCU Psychological Science majors have gained valuable professional experience through internships in businesses and human service agencies throughout Greater Cleveland and beyond. Psychological Science majors often complete an internship based on their interest in our of four tracks: Child and Family StudiesForensic PsychologyIndustrial/Organizational Psychology, and Mental Health Services.

The following Internships are available for Summer 2014

 

 

  • Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center – Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship (SURF)
    “You’ll have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in one of our cutting-edge laboratories, working under the supervision of our world-renowned research faculty and taking full advantage of the opportunities available in a professional research environment….You will also have the opportunity to take research-oriented training courses and participate in research seminars, journal clubs, career days and a research poster competition…. In addition to lab work and class time, you will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of cultural and social activities throughout the summer.”
    Eligibility: Freshman, sophomore and junior undergraduates (with a 3.0 or better GPA) are eligible to apply to the SURF Program. Dates: The program is 10 weeks long, and students can start the program on either May 27th or June 9th depending on their availability and the approval of their mentor.
    Stipend: $3500
