Spring Semester:

  • Principles of Biology II (lecture and lab)
  • General Chemistry II (lecture and lab)
  • Biological Statistics

Sophomore Year

Fall Semester:

  • Organic Chemistry I (lecture and lab)
  • Genetics

Spring Semester:

  • Organic Chemistry II (lecture and lab)
  • Introduction to Biotechnology or Molecular Techniques

Junior Year

Fall Semester:

  • Physics I (lecture and lab)
  • Cell Biology or Molecular Cell Biology

 

Spring Semester:

  • Physics II (lecture and lab)
  • Molecular Genetics
  • Prepare for MCAT

Senior Year

Fall Semester:

  • MCB elective
  • Biochemistry I

Spring Semester:

  • MCB elective
  • Biochemistry II

Students in the CMB major must have General and Organic Chemistry completed by the end of their sophomore year.

Upper-division Biology and Chemistry courses will be taken during the final two years. The MCB electives include the following: BL 159 and 160, BL 301, BL 310, BL 399, BL 410, BL 459, BL470, BL 471, and BL 475

*Not listed above are liberal arts core curriculum requirements such as a foreign language, religious studies, philosophy, etc.  A course or two of the core curriculum tend to be taken each semester by pre-med students as they matriculate through the four years and inclusion of an ethics course is strongly recommended.
