Senior Exit Interview

The purpose of the Political Science Department’s Senior Exit Interview is to provide the department with an assessment of the strengths and weaknesses of the program in achieving its stated learning goals (see below). It is also an opportunity for you to provide feedback to the department about your experience in pursuing the political science major. Your feedback is important to us and your answers will be reviewed and utilized by the Political Science Department faculty.

Political Science Department Learning Goals

Political Science students will:

  • Demonstrate knowledge of the major fields of political science: American politics, comparative politics, international relations, political theory, and research methods;
  • Demonstrate academic and intellectual skills: critical analysis, academic writing, and oral communication;
  • Be engaged in and aware of local, national and global politics; and
  • Be prepared, according to interest, for graduate programs and/or careers related to political science (e.g. public policy, law, political journalism, international service).
