Visitor Parking

Visitors may obtain a Visitor's Permit at the Carroll Boulevard entrance to campus. These permits are valid in any general parking areas and visitor designated areas and are only valid until 7:00 am the following business day. Students are not visitors, their vehicles will be issued a violation if found to be in possession of a visitor permit.

Handicap Accessible Parking

Handicapped areas in each lot are marked and reserved for vehicles displaying a valid state issued handicapped permit. Handicapped permits must be displayed in addition to a valid JCU Permit.

Parking on City Streets

JCU Community Members should strictly follow all University Heights City Parking Laws, this includes the signage around John Carroll.  Members not in accordance with UH laws, run the risk of being ticketed. Parking tickets issued by UHPD are $25.00, going up to $100.00 after 30 days and collection costs will be added after 60 days.  Vehicles with two outstanding citations can be towed if they are found in violation a third time.

Parking Lot Locations and Descriptions

Once a permit is purchased, students will only be permitted to park in that designated lot. Parking in a lot not designated on your hang tag will result in a violation.

Administration Drive​ (in front of the Administration building between the Main Drive and Auxiliary Drive): There is no parking on Administration drive.

Carroll Expansion Lot (located between the Dolan Science Center and the Boler College of Business): This lot is open to students and F / S (where marked) and is available for parking 24/7/365. The F / S area is designated reserved parking Monday through Friday 7 a.m.-5 p.m.

Rodman Reserved Parking Area​ (located outside of Rodman Hall): This lot is reserved for prospective students & visiting families, and requires a Special Visitors Permit at all times.

Rodman Drive​ (located between O’Malley Center and Rodman Hall): Handicap Parking and Reserved Parking Permit required at all times.

Dolan East and West lots​ (located on the east and west sides of the Dolan Science Center): General parking unless noted by signs. This lot is open to students and F / S (where marked) and is available for parking 24/7/365. The F / S area is designated reserved parking Monday through Friday 7 a.m.-5 p.m.

Dolan Center Garage​ (located under the Dolan Science Center): Parking by special permit at all times with assigned spaces.

Boler lo​t (located at the Boler College of Business) and the Grasselli Lot (adjacent to the Grasselli Library & Breen Learning Center): These lots are Faculty/Staff ONLY parking Monday through Friday 7 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Main Drive​ (on the east side of campus between the Belvoir lot and Dolan East lot): General parking unless noted by signs.

Auxiliary Drive​ (on the west side of campus between Murphy Hall and the Dolan West lot): General parking unless noted by signs. This lot is open to students and F / S (where marked) and is available for parking 24/7/365. The F / S area is designated reserved parking Monday through Friday 7 a.m.-5 p.m.

Commuter Overflow Lot​ (located off-campus across from the Carroll Blvd. entrance and adjacent to the BP gas station): Parking designated by signage. The City of University Heights does not allow overnight parking in this lot (no parking 1 a.m. to 6 a.m.).

Notre Dame College Lot (located off campus at 4545 College Rd, South Euclid, OH 44121) Parking for Freshman and Sophomore resident students.  Shuttle services provided. 216-373-5212 - Notre Dame Campus Police

Green Road Jewish Family Experience (JFX) Temple Lot (located off campus at 2200 S Green Rd, Cleveland, OH 44121) Parking for Freshman & Sophomore resident students. Shuttle services provided.
