Incoming new students who are attending Orientation sessions 1-7 in June or July are required to stay overnight in an on-campus residence hall. Bed linens, a pillow, and towels are provided in each room. Students might want to bring a fan if they feel it is necessary since the residence hall is not air-conditioned.
Parents also have the option of staying in an air-conditioned, on-campus residence hall, which is included in the Orientation fee. Bed linens, a pillow, and towels are provided in each room. Parents traveling together will be housed in the same bedroom and share common bathrooms with other parents on the residence hall floor while parents traveling alone will be assigned their own bedroom. If parents do not want to spend the evening in an on-campus residence hall, please click here to see several hotels within a short distance of the University that we recommend.
ATTENTION STUDENTS ATTENDING SESSION 8 ON AUGUST 22-23: Due to the arrival of returning students to their residence hall rooms for the fall semester, please note that there are no overnight accommodations available on campus for any parents or for commuter students. Students who will be living on campus in the fall will pick up their keys to move into their assigned residence hall rooms during two available times: Sunday, August 21 from 9:00 a.m. – noon in the Office of Residence Life or Monday, August 22 from 8:30 – 10:30 a.m. in the Office of Residence Life.
