The Ninth Annual Week of Islamic Art and Culture featuring Ail Asani, Ph.D.

April 18-22, 2016

All of the events will take place at 7pm in the Donahue Auditorium of the Dolan Science Center on the campus of John Carroll University with light refreshments to follow.

Monday April 18: A showing of the film Islamic Art: Mirror of the Invisible World


Tuesday April 19: A showing of the film Cities of Light: The Rise and Fall of Islamic Spain


Friday April 22: Ali Asani, Ph.D., who is Professor of Indo-Muslim and Islamic Religion and Cultures and the Director of the Prince Alwaleed bin Talal Islamic Studies Program at Harvard University. The title of Dr. Asani’s talk will be “God is Beautiful and loves beauty: Fostering literacy about Islam through the arts”
