The Nursi Chair will be hosting the 2013 Midwest-Muslim Catholic Dialogue at JCU from October 28-30. As part of this year’s Dialogue, we are happy to present two public keynote addresses* on October 29th.

At 2:30 pm, Imam Abdullah Antepli, the Muslim Chaplain at Duke University will speak on  “Catholics and Muslims: Challenges and Opportunities in the post Vatican II World.”

At 6:45 pm,  John Borelli, Ph.D., the Special Assistant to the President for Interreligious Initiatives at Georgetown University will speak on “The Origins and Development of ‘Mutual Understanding and Esteem’ Nostra Aetate in the Context of Vatican II.

Both talks are free and open to the public. They will be held in the Auditorium of the Dolan Science Center and each talk will be followed by a small reception.

*The Nursi Chair would like to thank The Walter and Mary Tuohy Chair of Interrelligious Dialogue for co-sponsoring the two keynote addresses.
