Students see first-hand how experts think about and solve practical problems by interacting with faculty members inside and outside the classroom. The NSSE asks about specific interactions with faculty in terms of research, career advising, feedback, course-related discussion, and campus committee/activities interaction.

Reported levels of student-faculty interaction have risen for JCU seniors and remained steady for first-year students 2005. JCU compares favorably on this benchmark to other NSSE institutions, including Jesuit and master’s colleges and universities.
