Visiting Position in Statistics or Data Science

The Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at John Carroll University is seeking applications for a one year visiting faculty position in Statistics or Data Science, to begin August 2018, with a possibility of renewal for a second year.  Ph.D. in Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics or related discipline (or imminent completion by that date) is required.  Full consideration will be given to applications which are complete by February 23, 2018, although applications will be accepted until the position is filled.

The successful candidate will demonstrate the potential for excellence in the teaching of statistics and/or data science in a liberal arts setting, have the ability to teach both elementary and upper-level statistics courses and will be committed to working closely with students and with faculty from other disciplines.  The teaching responsibility involves approximately 12 hours per semester.
