Nick graduated from John Carroll’s Computer Science Department in 2011. During his junior year, Nick worked with Dr. Dan Palmer and three other students in the capstone Software Engineering course to create a system that brought crowdsourcing theory to diagnostic imaging for the Cleveland Clinic. The project provided the experience of the entire software development lifecycle, and was later featured in the JCU Magazine.
After graduation, Nick accepted a job as a Software Developer for TMW Systems, Inc, a software manufacturer for the transportation and logistics industry. Since then, Nick has been involved with the development of several .NET web applications from proof-of-concept to release for TMW’s Business Intelligence department.
Nick credits his JCU experience for imparting the skills to succeed not only in the software development world, but in his entrepreneurial pursuits as well. While at JCU, Nick completed an independent study in management with Dr. Marc Lynn, and participated in an entrepreneurial competition through the Entrepreneurship Association. This immersion into entrepreneurship provided the foundation to start his own small business, QuickBooth PhotoBooth Rental, a service that rents photobooths for weddings and corporate events across Northeast Ohio.
