Leadership Scholars Program

Program Requirements

Freshman year

FALL

  • Participate in Tier I co-curricular leadership development program
  • Write personal bio, leadership philosophy, and resume (pre-arrival)
  • Take common one-credit LP 101 and one-credit LP 102 courses with other Leadership Scholars

 

SPRING

  • Participate in Tier II co-curricular leadership development program
  • Take common CO 101 course with other Leadership Scholars
  • Attend one designated campus event related to leadership and write a post-experience reflection.

 

Sophomore year

FALL

  • Update your personal bio, leadership philosophy, and resume (pre-arrival)
  • Serve as a SWAT Leader and Living the Mission Day student leader during Streak Week in August prior to the fall semester
  • Participate in a Tier III co-curricular leadership development program
  • Attend one designated campus event related to leadership and write a post-experience reflection

 

SPRING

  • Participate in a Tier IV co-curricular leadership development program
  • Take an approved course and create a reflection and presentation that shows how the course material contributed to your leadership competence
  • Update personal bio at the end of the year

 

Junior year

FALL

Update your personal bio, leadership philosophy, and resume (pre-arrival)

  • Update your personal bio, leadership philosophy, and resume (pre-arrival)
  • Attend one designated campus event related to leadership and write a post-experience reflection
  • Take the one-credit AR 340 job shadowing course

 

SPRING

  • ┬áParticipate in leadership research seminar
  • Attend one designated campus event related to leadership and write a post-experience reflection
  • Update resume and leadership philosophy

 

Senior Year

FALL

  • Take an approved course and create a reflection and presentation that shows how the course material contributed to your leadership competence
  • Propose in a Senior Leadership Project seminar to propose and begin work on the project

 

SPRING

  • Complete Senior Leadership Project
  • Present Senior Leadership Project at the Celebration of Scholarship Poster Session
  • Complete final resume
