A native of Abruzzo, Italy, she received a masters degree in Italian Language and Literature from The Ohio State University. As a faculty member at The Ohio State University she taught beginning and intermediate levels of Italian as well as courses in Italian culture. She was instrumental in establishing an Italian club for the students and promoting the Italian culture and communication on campus as well as in local communities.

Over the years, she has also offered private instructions in beginning and conversational Italian to children and adults, and has provided translations and interpreting services for various businesses and organizations. She has assisted various community groups in organizing Italian events, organizing cultural activities and promoting the Italian language. Mrs. Pipitone also works as an instructor with BERLITZ International, Inc. teaching Italian and English as a second language.
