Resetting Passwords

Log into your account and follow the appropriate procedure below:

For Gmail (http://gmail.jcu.edu):

  1. Select your Settings.
  2. Select Accounts at the top of the page (among the horizontal line of options).
  3. Just underneath Accounts select Google Account settings (a new window will open).
  4. In the bottom right hand corner of the newly opened window select Manage Security.
  5. Select the Change password.
  6. In the Old Password field, enter your current password.
  7. In the New Password field, enter your new password.
  8. In the Confirm Password field, reenter your new password.
  9. Select the Change password button to finalize the password change.

Your new password will now be required to log into your Gmail account.

For Network Account and Blackboard:

  1. Press Ctrl-Alt-Del keys simultaneously.
  2. Select Change Password button.
  3. In the Old Password field, enter your current password.
  4. In the New Password field, enter your new password.
  5. In the Confirm New Password field, reenter your new password.
  6. Select the OK button.

Your new password will now be required to log you into the JCU Network or Blackboard.
