The vision of the IER Network is to provide a forum for teachers, principals, parents, and others within the Greater Cleveland community to discuss effective practices for shared leadership, to develop action plans for addressing current challenges, and to continually renew themselves personally and professionally in meeting the demands of education in the 21st century.

Through a variety of workshops, seminars, conferences, and other professional development activities, the Network continues to bring members of the school community together around literacy and collaborative leadership topics. Network activities have included a panel discussion on cyberbullying, a graduate-level course on comprehensive literacy, and speakers in the areas of diversity and math and science.
