John Carroll University offers a generous paid time-off package to full-time staff and administrators who work 37.5 hours or more a week. This package includes vacation time, personal time, holidays and sick time off. In addition, jury duty, bereavement, and maternity leaves are granted upon approval.
Holidays – The University grants its employees certain paid holidays. At the discretion of the President of the University, other paid days off may be declared on a one-time basis.
Personal Time – Full-time employees are eligible for up to three paid personal days per year.
Sick Time – The University recognizes that inability to work because of illness or injury may cause economic hardship. For this reason the University provides sick days to eligible full-time employees.
Vacation Time – The University grants paid vacation for exempt staff and non-exempt staff the purpose of rest and relaxation to full-time employees.
