BlueStreak Blitz

Get pumped to “Streak Your Weekend” at the kickoff to the biggest weekend on campus!  Stop by to hear the pep band, get some FREE giveways, grab some food and event schedule so you are ready to be all in for Homecoming and Family Weekend!

Leadership in Focus: An evening with the John Carroll Board of Directors John Carroll University
Leadership in Focus is a moderated panel discussion with members of the JCU Board of Directors. Come and learn how this group of outstanding alumni have honed their leadership skills to achieve success in their professional lives as well as how they make decisions aboout the future of John Carroll University. Guest panelists include: Ara A. Bagdasarian ’78Executive Vice President (Retired), Travel Centers of America, Michele (Barry) Kisthardt ’85OwnerHudson Integrated Marketing, William A. G.O.L.D. Alumni Homecoming Happy Hour 
6 – 8 p.m.Saucy Brew Works 2734, 2885 Detroit Ave, Cleveland, OH 44113
G.O.L.D (Graduates of the Last Decade, 2008 – 2018) kick off Homecoming and Family Weekend and meet up with fellow alumni and friends for a Thursday night happy hour. Appetizers will be provided, Cash Bar.

Magician Ben Seidman 
p.m. Kulas Auditorium (Doors open at 8pm) 
Ben Seidman is the only person in history to be named the Resident Magician at Mandalay Bay, Resort & Casino in Las Vegas. After several thousand performances at numerous luxury casinos, Seidman has become known as a powerful young staple of the Las Vegas entertainment scene. His residency at Mandalay follows a three-season contract as creative consultant for Mindfreak on A&E, during which he designed the illusions performed by Criss Angel.  His performances are jam packed with stand-up comedy, fascinating true stories, and world- renowned sleight-of-hand. His energy and playfulness are contagious as they spread through the audience and he never fails to give a sensational performance. Fun for the whole family!

Swing by the after party outside Kulas for some more Homecoming fun!  Jam to some tunes and nosh on some food truck yummies from Cleveland Espresso and Mobile Cupcakery Foodtrucks!

Friday, October 5

Parent Check-in
5 p.m. – 8 p.m. Student Center Atrium
Stop by the table to pick up a schedule as well as any pre-ordered tickets.

Athletic Hall of Fame (by invitation only)
6 p.m. Dolan Center for Science and Technology

Homecoming Dance  (current students only)
8 p.m. – midnight, First Energy Stadium (Cleveland Brown’s Stadium)
Enjoy an evening of music, dancing, and hors d’oeuvres with your friends at the home of the Brown’s!  VIP Party attendance is required from 6:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. in the LSC in order to check in and load the buses!  Attendees need to attend the VIP party at the time written on their tickets!

Irish Musical Showcase
8 p.m.  – 10 p.m. Jardine Room
Unwind in an intimate setting as you catch up with friends and listen to alums Jim Carr ‘82, Nikki Custy ’97, and friends. Sounds from Ireland and a mix of other tunes will be featured.  Refreshments will be available along with a cash bar.

Saturday, October 6

Footprints for Fatima 5K Run / 1 Mile Walk
Registration begins at 8 a.m., 5K starts at 9 a.m., 1 Mile is at 9:15 a.m.
Make your “Footprint” on Homecoming Weekend! Run or walk in the Footprints for Fatima 5K Run and 1 Mile Walk to support JCU’s Fatima Food Drive. All proceeds will benefit families in Cleveland’s Hough neighborhood. All runners/walkers receive an official “Footprints” long-sleeved t-shirt. Awards are given to the top male and female JCU students, faculty and staff, and alumni. Refreshments and raffle prizes provided! For more information or to register visit: www.jcu.edu/footprints

Lolly the Trolley Cleveland Tour
10:00 a.m. 12 p.m. Trolley picks up outside of the Student Center at the intersection of Washington and Belvoir boulevards
More than 20 miles of facts and fun are covered in Trolley Tours’ well-known City Sightseeing Tour, one of the most reliable, pleasant, and convenient ways to see Cleveland. Registration Required, tickets are $20/person.

JCU Blue Streaks Football Tailgate
11:30 a.m. 1:30 p.m. Tennis Courts, South Belvoir Street and Belvoir Parking Lot
All alumni, parents, families, students, Hall of Fame Inductees, and guests are welcome to join in the festivities.  Food from the following food trucks will be available for purchase:  Mother Truckin’ Tasty Food Truck, River Dog (Hot dogs, bratworst), The Little Piggy Food Truck, and Manna Foodtruck.  Music, performances by the JCU pep band and cheer and dance teams, a family zone, and student organization tables will also be featured. All guests are welcome in the tailgate area! Guests who are 21 and over are welcome to bring their own alcoholic beverages to enjoy only in the tailgate area. All tailgating will end by 1:30pm.

Rules for a safe Blue Streak Tailgate:
• Must be 21 years of age or older to consume alcoholic beverages and must be able to provide valid ID for proof of age if requested.
• Consumption is limited to the defined area (see map)
• No public intoxication.
• Alcohol is permitted so long as it is poured into a plastic cup. No kegs allowed.
• No tobacco products allowed as we are a tobacco free campus.
• Tailgating and clean-up will end by 1:30 at which time the regular alcohol policy take effect on campus.

Varsity Football – JCU vs. Capital

Show your support for our JCU Blue Streaks as they take on Capital University! Get to your seat 15 minutes before kickoff for the Homecoming King and Queen announcement and stay for the best DIII football in the country.
Purchase your tickets in advance.
Stadium gates will open at 12 noon and walk-up tickets can be purchased at that time as follows:
$10 for Premium Reserved
$8 for Bleacher Reserved
$6 for General Admission
$4 for GA Sr. Citizen/Youth or non-OAC student
FREE for children ages 4 and under
Free for all JCU students and staff with ID

Homecoming and Family Mass

Family Dinner
6 p.m. – 8 p.m., Schott Dining Hall
Bring your family for a dinner JCU style in the Schott Dining Hall. Join Dr. Michael Johnson, president of John Carroll University and his wife Jill Kobus Johnson for the Homecoming Family dinner. Dinner is $12 per person and tickets can be purchased in advance or at the door. Current student with a meal plan do not need to purchase tickets. Dinner will include: Chicken Piccata, Brown Rice, Garlic Broccoli &Maple Glazed Acorn Squash, Tortelli Alfredo, Cheese & Pepperoni Pizza ,Vegetable Stromboli, Hamburgers, Grilled Chicken, Monte Cristo Sandwich with Onion Rings, Stir Fry Station-Made to Order.

JCU Women’s Soccer Game vs. Capital

Cheer on the JCU varsity women’s soccer team as they take on Capital

Carroll Casino

Try your hand at Blackjack, Roulette, Poker, Craps, and Slot Machines at the Carroll Casino. No money is needed to play, but prizes are sure to be won!

Lobo’s Night Out!

Late Night Breakfast (current students only)

Got the late-night munchies?  Craving some snacks? Join your friends for the much-anticipated Homecoming Late Night Breakfast. Free food, entertainment, Bingo, and time to socialize…a perfect way to wrap up the night! You won’t want to miss out on all the excitement—or treats!
