Homecoming Happy Hour

Relive your glory days on Lee Road with fellow alumni!  Join us on the patio at The Colony for drinks, food and fun.

Comedian BJ Novak (current students only)

Enjoy some laughs with BJ Novak! He is best known for being a writer and co-executive producer for and playing the role of Ryan Howard on The Office.

Friday, September 27

Countdown to Kickoff
11:30a.m.-1:30p.m. Student Center Atrium
Food, giveaways, music, and performances by Pep Band, Cheer, Dance and Lobo. WJCU will be broadcasting.

Homecoming Dance  (current students only)
8p.m.- midnight, Browns stadium
Enjoy an evening of music, dancing, and hors d’oeuvres with your friends at Browns Stadium. VIP Party attendance is required from 6pm – 7pm in the LSC in order to check in and load the buses!

Acoustic Duo Jim Carr and Nikki Custy
8 p.m. – 10 p.m., Jardine Room
Unwind in an intimate setting as you catch up with friends and listen to guitarist/vocalist Jim Carr ’82 and violinist/vocalist Nikki Custy ’97. Together they weave a mellow mix of classic and contemporary rock artists (ie,James Taylor/ Beatles, Jason Mraz and Coldplay) with strains of world music from Ireland, Spain, and Brazil. Refreshments will be available along with a cash bar. Reservations required.

Footprints for Fatima 5K Run / 1 Mile Walk
Registration begins at 9 a.m. , 5K starts at 10:00 a.m., 1 Mile is at 10:15 a.m.
South Belvoir Boulevard at Carroll Boulevard
Make your “Footprint” on Homecoming Weekend! Run or walk in the Footprints for Fatima 5K Run and 1 Mile Walk to support JCU’s Fatima Food Drive. All proceeds will benefit families in Cleveland’s Hough neighborhood. The first 150 runners/walkers receive an official “Footprints” t-shirt. Awards are given to the top male and female JCU students, FSA’s, and alumni. Refreshments and raffle prizes provided! For more information or to register visit: www.jcu.edu/footprints

Varsity Football Game – JCU vs. Otterbein

Show your support for our JCU Blue Streaks as they take on Otterbein! Get to your seat 15 minutes before kickoff for the Homecoming King and Queen announcement and stay for the best DIII football in the country.
Game tickets will be sold on a walk-up basis beginning at noon at the Stadium ticket kiosk:

Halftime will feature a Hall of Fame tribute.

20th Anniversary Pep Band Party
9:00 p.m. Dolan Science Center
The Pep Band is celebrating it’s 20th anniversary at Homecoming this year! Events will include a pre-game cookout for families, special recognition at the homecoming game, and an adult reception following the game in the Dolan Science center.

We’re trying to track down all past members. If you were in the Pep Band under Marty Hoehler or Chuck Beilstein and would like to participate in the festivities, please contact Brianne Hoehler at brihoehler@gmail.com.

Late Night Breakfast (current students only)

Got the late-night munchies?  Craving some snacks? Join your friends for the much-anticipated Homecoming Late Night Breakfast. Free food, entertainment, Bingo, and time to socialize…a perfect way to wrap up the night! You won’t want to miss out on all the excitement—or treats!

Sunday, September 29

Homecoming and Family Mass & Brunch
Alumni, parents, students, faculty, staff, and friends are invited to attend Mass in the DeCarlo Varsity Gym followed by brunch.

10:30 a.m., De Carlo Varsity Center

11:00 a.m. – 2:00p.m., D.J. Lombardo Student Center, Schott Dining Hall
Cost is $11 per person.  Current students can use a meal swipe.
