Chi Omega is the largest woman’s fraternal organization in the world with 240,000 initiates. Since its founding in 1895, the number of collegiate chapters has grown to more than 170. Throughout Chi Omega’s long and proud history, six purposes have guided the direction of every chapter and brought its members opportunities for personal growth and development. Those purposes are friendship, high standards of personnel, sincere learning and creditable scholarship, participation in campus activities, career development, and community service.
John Carroll’s Chapter, Upsilon Mu, is proud to be a part of a band of women that started many years ago. As a chapter we continue their legacy in many ways. Chapter members are involved in nearly every varsity sport, hold numerous leadership positions on campus, and contribute to many clubs and organizations. We enjoy serving the community as well, sponsoring many Make-A-Wish fundraising events including their Scoop-A-Dish for Make-A-Wish and Walking Taco event during the Super Bowl. The Upsilon Mu Chi Omegas never forget to have fun, either, having many social events throughout the year and concluding with formal in the spring. But above all, our sisterhood is what truly makes us who we are.
