The award is given to the graduating senior who has been voted by his or her senior class as most deserving of this honor.

The Beaudry Award recognizes outstanding service in the following areas: Leadership, Commitment to Christian values, Academic achievement, and Service to the University and/or greater community.

Ty has been an orientation leader since 2011, and this past year was the senior orientation leader. He has been a tour guide since 2012. He also has been active in his fraternity of Sigma Phi Epsilon. He was the VP of Programming his freshmen year, and was the VP of Recruitment for IFC his junior year. Ty also works for the Institute of Catholic Studies and the Office for University Mission and Identity as a website coordinator. During his freshmen and sophomore year he was a restaurant manager at the North Park Grille. This past fall Ty was honored with a nomination to the Homecoming Court, and was named Homecoming King.

Ty attended the Manresa 20 retreat, was on the Manresa 22 retreat team, and was honored to be chosen to co-lead the Manresa 24 team. Ty has also been on two immersion trips, one to Louisville, KY working with refugees and
another to Nicaragua where he co-led 17 students to live with families in both urban and rural homestays. He also participated in the Boler Honduras Project this year. Ty is a lector at St. Francis Chapel and has attended many
Festival of Praise events. He also participated in the 8-day silent retreat this past winter break. Ty also sang at summer masses during orientations.

Ty is a 3 year member of Order of Omega, an Academic Honor Society for Greeks. He also received the Fiftieth Anniversary Scholarship, a scholarship for seniors in the Boler School of Business who have demonstrated academic
achievement, leadership, and provided service to the community. Ty presented at a conference in Michigan about We the People and will participate in Celebration of Scholarship. Ty was also an Honors Program student his freshmen and sophomore year. In addition, Ty has been on the professional marketing team at GE Lighting’s global headquarters since 2012.
