The purpose of graduate education in the College of Arts and Sciences is to prepare advanced students, in the Catholic and Jesuit tradition, to be intellectual and professional leaders, who fully utilize their skills and abilities to make positive contributions to their professions and to society. Our academic programs educate students to be knowledgeable in their disciplines, while increasing their ability to think conceptually, analytically, and critically; to communicate clearly and effectively; and to be creative and responsible in a dynamic global environment.
