This coming Wednesday, March 13, David Giffels will give a reading of his work in Rodman Hall on the John Carroll campus at 7pm.

Some of you may know that David is one of the original scriptwriters for Beavis and Butthead (seriously).

He was a columnist for the Akron Beacon Journal for many years, and is that city’s greatest chronicler in books and newspapers.

He is the author of “All the Way Home,” a book about his extraordinary, single-handed renovation of an old rubber baron’s mansion in Akron. Diane Rehm interviewed him about the book on her NPR show a few years ago.

And last year he won the Cleveland Arts Prize. He’s brilliant and delightful reader, and I hope to see you in Rodman on Wednesday.

This event is free and open to the public.
