Have a Taste of English Courses this Spring: EN 199 1-Credit Sampler
Want to get to know more about English courses and professors this coming Spring? The English department’s Literary Sampler course (EN 199) is a 1-credit course being offered next semester. The course meets for the first 7 weeks of the semester on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:00 to 2:50 p.m., and is open to both majors and non-majors. What’s fun about the course is that a different professor from the English department will teach each session, often based on a topic within their areas of focus or centered on a particular theme. There are no tests, no quizzes, and no major papers–the course is pass/fail, and attendance is required for every session. Students will have to write a number of short summary/response papers about presentations, but that’s it. It’s a really fun course, and it’s a great way for students to become exposed to many members of the English department.
