The Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) at John Carroll University is dedicated to helping faculty members enhance their teaching methods and meet university learning goals. The CTL provides workshops, resources, and one-on-one mentoring assistance. The emphasis of CTL programs is on peer to peer sharing of ideas and experiences.
By working closely with the Center for Digital Media, we support faculty members interested in using technology in their teaching. By working closely with the Integrative Core Curriculum Committee, we help faculty develop classes for the new core curriculum.
The CTL also provides opportunities for participation in faculty learning communities, which allow faculty to gather together to develop new fields of knowledge to share with their students. The CTL also aims to enrich the intellectual environment at John Carroll by sponsoring and co-sponsoring external speakers and participation at conferences.
