A Celebration of Scholarship is a yearly event showcasing the academic efforts of the John Carroll community. Based on Ernest L. Boyer’s Scholarship Reconsidered, the event celebrates the four general views of scholarship: teaching, discovery, integration, and application. The campus-wide Celebration for students, faculty, and other University community members features workshops, panel discussions, poster sessions, paper presentations, and other activities.

The first Celebration was held in 2001. To learn more about the history of A Celebration of Scholarship read this article from the March 2011 edition of Faculty Notes.

The Celebration is hosted by Jim Krukones, associate academic vice president, with support from Deanna DePenti.
