An essay by Alissa Nutting, Ph.D., John Carroll University assistant professor of English, is featured in the November issue of O, The Oprah Magazine. Her piece is titled “Promiscuous Fitness: How to Find the Right Exercise Routine—and Stick with It!”
Nutting has served as fiction editor of the literary journal Witness and managing editor of Fairy Tale Review. She authored the short story collection “Unclean Jobs for Women and Girls,” winner of the sixth Starcherone Prize for Innovative Fiction. Her work also has been featured in The New York Times Opinionator as well as BOMB, Fence, Tin House, and several other magazines and anthologies.
