Background
Julianne Cabusas is an Instructor of Marketing in the Boler School of Business at John Carroll University. Before pursuing her doctoral studies at the University of Rhode Island, she received her M.B.A. from the University of Delaware, worked with Wal-mart Transportation in the United States and she was the Marketing Officer with Newtrends International Corporation in the Philippines.

Courses
Ms. Cabusas teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in social media marketing, new product development, internet marketing, and international marketing.

Research
The primary research interest of Ms. Cabusas involves the overlap between emerging social media forums, co-creation of value and new product development processes in organizations.  Specifically, her research includes an examination of the collective consumer creativity that emerges through distributed cognition processes involved in social media.  Understanding these processes as they are currently occurring in social media environments leads to a variety of innovative applications in new product development processes in organizations.  Ms. Cabusas has published articles in the Journal of Information Systems and Technology Management and the International Journal of Information Management.  Additionally, Ms. Cabusas has presented several papers at internationally recognized marketing conferences such as the Macromarketing Society Conference and the Association for Consumer Research.
