Applying for Graduation
When it is time to leave John Carroll University and the Boler School of Business, there is still information we need from you. You must apply for graduation at the beginning of the second to the last semester before you graduate. This timing is critical so that we can complete your graduation audit before you schedule your classes for the last semester. In addition, diplomas and other graduation materials are ordered quite early to ensure timely delivery. There is only one graduation ceremony per year at John Carroll University; therefore, you must meet the criteria to participate if you are not finishing in the spring semester. December graduates participate in the May ceremony following the completion of their degree. August graduates may participate in the May ceremony prior to the completion of their degree if the necessary conditions are met.

While students cannot apply to Boler’s Graduate Programs until their senior year, it is important for you to start planning for the 5th Year MBA early into your John Carroll career to ensure that you meet the necessary requirements. Arts and Sciences majors should remain particularly cognizant of 5th-year M.B.A. course prerequisites and check with their advisor before scheduling. If you begin your graduate studies directly following your undergraduate graduation, then you will receive a 25% tuition discount for a total of four semesters following your start date!
