The concentration in public administration and policy studies is a program in governmental management and policy analysis for political science and economics majors. The Boler School offers it in conjunction with the Department of Political Science.
How do we do this?
John Carroll is dedicated to developing socially responsible leaders. With a foundation in over 450 years of Jesuit Catholic teaching, our faculty focus on providing students with the tools needed to make ethical decisions in business and in the larger community. We believe in educating you as a whole person: mind, body, and spirit, and ensuring that all aspects of your education help you to become a well-rounded, well-educated person.
What does this mean for you?
The program has three objectives:
- To provide a pre-professional education in social sciences within a liberal arts curriculum.
- To offer preparation for advanced training in public management, policy analysis, and applied social science.
- To equip students with knowledge and skills to serve in a variety of positions at the local, state, and federal levels of public service.
The concentration consists of 36 credits customized to your major along with an internship in government.
