A team of human resource students in John Carroll University’s Boler School of Business recently competed in the 2014 Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) North Central Regional Student Case Competition in Milwaukee, Wisconsin where it placed fifth.
SHRM annually hosts five regional conferences throughout the country, which are designated geographically with approximately 10 states per region. These conferences are packed with speakers, educational sessions, career development opportunities, networking, and a regional case-solving competition. This year, the North Central Region had 13 universities participate in the case-solving competition where they challenged their human resource knowledge. Student teams consist of 2-6 members.
A team of three students from the JCU Student SHRM chapter was sent to the conference to represent Boler in its first ever case-style competition. Congratulations to the team members: Emily Abraham, Devon DeLaughter, and Jonathan Turik.
