The Biology faculty is committed to student involvement in research, as evidenced by student authors and co-authors on peer-reviewed manuscripts, student attendance at scientific meetings, and participation in the Huntington-Codrington Summer Research program.

The faculty is also engaged in meaningful collaborations with researchers throughout the United States and abroad.

The faculty maintain a high publication rate (the average number of publications per year for department members since 2003 is 10). Additionally, the faculty continues to secure grant money from local, state, and federal agencies.
