A minor in art history can complement or augment a major in other areas of the humanities, the sciences, or business and professional studies. The art history minor also will allow the student to apply to most graduate programs in art history.

The minor consists of 18 hours of study in the field. Students may choose courses that provide a general overview of the field or focus on an area of special interest.

Art History minors pursuing the major in the humanities may count all art history courses toward the minor.

For details about Art History minor requirements, please refer to the John Carroll Undergraduate Bulletin.

Note: Art studio courses do not count toward the major or minor.
