“The Oxfam Hunger Banquet really is a fantastic event that highlights the extremities of class gaps. This event is truly a learning experience and it will be a valuable lesson to carry on with you the rest of your life.” – Dan Mascio, Class of 2016

The Oxfam Hunger Banquet is an interactive event sponsored by the First-Year class of Arrupe Scholars that draws student body attention to the vast disparities in global food distribution. The place where you sit, and the meal that you eat, are determined by the luck of the draw—just as in real life some of us are born into relative prosperity and others into poverty.

You can learn more about Oxfam’s hunger awareness efforts at their website, found here.

This past year’s Hunger Banquet was held on Wednesday, April 2nd at 5:30 pm
