Garfield, Rockefeller, Grasselli, Hanna, Mather, Morgan, Sherwin, Brush, Wade and Hay. These names are synonymous with Cleveland’s History. Hearing their names reminds us of a time when Cleveland was the “6th city” and over half of the World’s millionaires lived in our hometown.

Now, you have the opportunity to learn more about these individuals as John Carroll University’s Alumni Continuing Education Series (ACES) takes you on a guided walking tour of Lake View Cemetery, the final resting place for these individuals and many other prominent residents of Northeast Ohio.

The tour will end at the spectacular Wade Memorial Chapel, which features one of the last remaining interiors designed completely by Louis Comfort Tiffany. Prominent Cleveland architectural firm Hubbell & Benes designed exterior.

Lake View is a memorial to those who built our community, from titans of industry and civic leaders, to immigrant laborers and descendants of slaves. Come learn more about this cultural icon in our backyard.
