Our fall open houses, known as Blue Streak Preview Days, serve as a great opportunity to learn more about John Carroll University. From hearing about the academic and co-curricular experience to enjoying the campus cuisine, get ready for an amazing day to see what being a Blue Streak is all about! We look forward to your visit!

Visitors have the option to attend a 9 a.m. Catholic Mass at the Church of the Gesu, a family and community parish located across from campus. For those who wish to attend Mass, please plan on arriving to JCU between 8:30-8:45 a.m. For those who do not wish to attend Mass, please plan on arriving to JCU by 10 a.m.

Prospective students whose last names begin with the letters A-K will follow the Blue Schedule.

The John Carroll Experience

Visitors will have the opportunity to hear about John Carroll’s mission and educational philosophy, and will also learn about the application process, scholarships, and financial aid.

Getting Involved on Campus

Current students and staff will discuss the ways in which you can get involved on campus. Families can choose one of the following 30-minute sessions to attend:

  • Activities and Organizations
  • Faith and Service
  • Recreation and Athletics
    • Note: This is not a meet and greet with varsity coaches. The primary focus of this session will be on the recreation, intramural, and fitness opportunities at JCU. We will, however, briefly discuss how to be recruited if you are interested in varsity athletics.

 

Academic Exploration #1

Faculty and current students will share information and answer your questions about our academic programs. Families can choose one of the following 30-minute sessions to attend:

  • Biology and Chemistry (includes Pre-Health Professions)
  • Business
  • Communication and Theatre Arts
  • Education
  • Exercise Science, Physical Education, Allied Health, and Sports Studies
  • Humanities
  • Mathematics, Computer Science, and Healthcare Information Technology
  • Physics and Engineering Physics
  • Psychological Science
  • Social Sciences and Global Studies
  • Undecided

 

Academic Exploration #2

Select 30-minute sessions will be repeated to allow families to learn about more than one academic program, if they choose to do so:

  • Biology and Chemistry (includes Pre-Health Professions)

  • Communication and Theatre Arts
